A bluebird day and lots of projects completed – our focus is a successful training run on Wednesday

Tonight was our mandatory Safety Meeting. It was great to see everyone out tonight – ok, almost everyone. Usually at the meeting, you will find the Net Monkeys sitting in the front row but tonight in the dark they were busy on the mountain buttoning up an A net like they have done for weeks.  They are setting things up for the rest of the Sled Dogs to jump in to finish our safety installations tomorrow morning so that we can run test pilots tomorrow afternoon. Still lots of work to do but the track is looking awesome. Nice work all.

It was probably the first time this year anyone had snow come up on their shins on the course while arcing a few turns and it was also the first time that Super Dave got to test out his Ambiance Tent Squeegee – SnowWhacker. It passed with flying colors.

The Curtain Crew Confluence

We had another good day working on the course. Wednesday was declared ‘Hug a Net Monkey’ Day. Now I realize why they jumped on the lift so early this morning.

After a hearty breakfast, Brooks led the first ‘Yoga on the Kokanee Deck’ session of the year.  Just as the sun was rising, he led the entire Build Week crew – chiefs and all in a great stretch before jumping on the lifts.  Hannes even jumped into the session.
