WHO WE ARE
The Canadian Snowsports Association (CSA) is awarded the speed events for each the men’s and ladies’ Audi FIS Ski World Cup by the International Ski Federation (FIS). The CSA contracts Winterstart Events Ltd. to manage both Audi FIS Ski World Cup events. The Audi FIS Ski World Cups are held at the Lake Louise Ski Resort and encompass the first men’s and ladies downhill and super-G races of the World Cup season. The event is called the Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup and is one of the select few stops on the World Cup circuit that host both the men’s and ladies’ events.
Winterstart Events Ltd. is governed by a board of directors. A chief executive officer is responsible to the board of directors and a group of executive directors report to the CEO. The executive directors appoint a chief of race for each the men’s and ladies’ events. The chief of race recruits additional key chiefs who assign individuals to a Race Organizing Committee (ROC). The ROC further appoints chiefs, managers, coordinators, referees, etc. to specific crews to facilitate the production of the Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup.
